Focus on the Biosphere
We develop innovative science to better understand the functioning of natural, seminatural and anthropogenic ecosystems. Each ecosystem takes part in a complex landscape with multiple networks, presenting specific response to external forcing (urbanization, agriculture, invasiveness, mining, fire, climate change), and requiring specific actions to enable their conservation or restoration. Our research combines fundamental and applied science to offer innovative solutions to face global change.
